Quality control is an indispensable step in papermaking. It involves the equipment used to separate plant materials into fibers. Small-scale papermaking pulping methods can be divided into three categories: chemical, mechanical, and chemithermomechanical pulping. The corresponding pulping equipment includes digesters, grinders, refiners, washers, bleach plants, beaters, and waste liquid recovery equipment. How can the equipment achieve better pulping efficiency?
Pulp produced by grinding wood chips preheated with steam under high pressure is called thermomechanical pulp. The machine that produces thermomechanical pulp is a refiner. Refiners consume a large amount of electricity, so the key issue is to fully utilize the heat energy during the pulping process. Washers are mechanical devices that separate cooked pulp from black liquor. According to the black liquor extraction rate, they are divided into two major categories: high-concentration and low-concentration extraction.
The purpose of pulp bleaching is to remove residual lignin and pigments from the cooked pulp, improve the pulp brightness, and give the pulp a bright white color. The bleaching plant is a commonly used bleaching device. It consists of a bleaching tank, a screw propeller, a washing drum and other components. The pulp and bleaching agent are placed in the tank and washing water is continuously added. With the help of the screw propeller, they circulate in the tank, completing the mixing and chemical reaction process. The water containing bleaching byproducts and residual bleaching liquor is discharged through the washing drum, resulting in bright white pulp.
