A machine that produces paper by forming a pulp suspension that meets papermaking requirements into a sheet through processes such as screen dewatering, mechanical pressing and dewatering, and drying. Modern large paper machines can have a forming width of up to 11m and an operating speed of over 1000m/min, with a daily output of hundreds of tons, and the entire machine weighs over a thousand tons and is over a hundred meters long. Smaller paper machines are more commonly used in the production of general-purpose paper and some specialty papers in developing *; these machines have a forming width of 1-3m and an operating speed of tens to 200 meters per minute.
